Matt has been pleased to become part of the team at Craven House, joining Charlotte as a Physiotherapist at Charlotte Lyons Physiotherapy since 2023.
 Matt qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2004 from the University of Brighton. Over his 20 years of clinical experience he gathered experience across a broad range of practice in Hospital and Community based settings, whilst specialising in the musculoskeletal field in 2006. He has worked both for the NHS and in private practice, including providing Physiotherapy services in an orthopaedic hospital. In addition to helping clients with a broad range of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, he has also worked in vestibular rehabilitation to help those with dizziness and imbalance. Matt can treat adults of all ages as well as older children and adolescents.Â
Matt has a wealth of experience assessing and treating conditions such as spinal pain, knee pain and shoulder pain from both trauma and overuse. He is also experienced in post-operative treatment and rehabilitation. In treatments he uses tools such as hands on techniques, acupuncture, extracorporeal shockwave therapy and therapeutic ultrasound. He is skilled at guiding clients with therapeutic exercise to support recovery and in maintaining good health beyond recovery from their disorder.Â
Matthew can help treat conditions leading to imbalance and dizziness such as vestibular neuritis, labyrinthitis, vestibular migraine, and persistent postural perceptual dizziness (PPPD). These conditions can be helped by specific, tailored exercise, known as vestibular rehabilitation. Matt can also help with the common condition of benign paroxismal positional vertigo (BPPV) through positional treatments.Â
Prior to his Physiotherapy career Matt worked in the fitness industry having completed a Sports Science degree. He has always been active in sports and exercise himself, with his main interests road cycling and running.
